When publishing videos from Wipster to Vimeo, which system does the processing?

Follow

We understand this is an important consideration for video makers. Often, the subtleties of video compression can make a huge difference to the presentation of the work, so we've put together a totally transparent explanation of what's happening under the hood when Wipster and Vimeo connect.

First and most importantly, if you publish a video to Vimeo from Wipster, the file that Vimeo creates the final encodings from is the original file that was uploaded to Wipster. This means the video will be processed exactly as it would if you were uploading directly to Vimeo.

We believe that Vimeo's encoding quality is best-in-class for web video. If you're intending to eventually publish the video that you're uploading to Wipster for review, then we recommend following Vimeo's Compression Guidelines for the ideal result.

Still confused? We've created the diagram below to show you how it works.
